This site lists fatalities caused as a direct or indirect result of terrorism. It provides the facilities to add the names and details of people from all around the world, from any background who have died in such a way.

More importantly it provides the facilities to add a personal message to each name, here you can express your feelings of loss and say how they affected your life. Let this outpouring of grieve be as a healing to the world.

At present, there is no internationally agreed definition of terrorism. Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants.

An indirect result of terrorism will include military personnel engaged in the so call War on Terror.

This site was born from an awareness of the grief which is emitting from all the terrorist atrocities around the world which results in the deaths of innocent individuals of all nationalities, cultures and beliefs.

The reason for it was to place all the people's thoughts and remembrance in one place so everyone could respect those that gave up there lives just doing what they do everyday of there lives. There are other sites of remembrance for specific groups or individuals but this site has no specific views or direction just a place were people who have lost loved ones can leave a short message to honour them.

It was conceived by Ian Wallace at 4.30 in the morning, during mid December 2009, in the midst of a deep sleep, waking up with the concept, which has already developed to include any nationality, ethnic group or belief system. The site includes no perception of right or wrong just remembrance of ones loved and lost. The concept then was taken up by Keith Hirst who designed all the web applications to make the concept come alive.

The site will have the capacity to give donations to the charity of your choice, dependant on personal beliefs and convictions of the deceased and or their family. The cost of this site will be borne from donations to keep this site alive and or the interest those donations acquire, no profit will be taken by me or Keith just costs to keep the site up and running.

We are aware that the content of this website can be distressing to the families involved and if we upset anyone we wholeheartedly apologise. If you wish to have your loved one's details amended or removed please contact us immediately for a sensitive response.
